Kurt Travis to tour with Jonny Craig.

As if there hasn’t been enough nonsense in the Dance Gavin Dance world recently, it was announced via Twitter that the now former-DGD vocalist Kurt Travis will be part of Jonny Craig‘s  (DGD, Emarosa) backing band on his upcoming solo tour.

The Twitter-proof and a few thoughts…

8:53 pm Aug 30- “My solo band for this solo tour consists of @kurttravis on guitar and piano and @PappamidnitE on drums and MR IPOD for everything else!!!”

9:53 pm Aug 30- “@jonnycraig4L so stoked for the tour! Playing guitar and back vox it’s gonna sick! Everyone should come out!”

Less than two weeks ago it was announced that Craig had rejoined Dance Gavin Dance to record a follow-up to their debut album, Downtown Battle Mountain, a move that has been speculated on for over a year.  The same announcement also stated that current vocalist Travis would no longer be part of the group.

There has been no word yet on whether the parting of Travis and DGD was amicable, though helping Craig would seem to imply their isn’t any bad blood between the vocalists.
