Tilian reveals lyrics to Saosin song “Promise”
A few days ago, Saosin released their first song since their departure with vocalist Cove Reber. The new demo, “Promises,” features Tilian Pearson (ex-Tides Of Man) on vocals. Through email, Tilian revealed to MindEqualsBlown the lyrics to the track:
“To escape from my own mind, I have fallen off the rails. Given into subtle tendencies.
And Again it’s a matter of time until I sink into denial and build a barricade defending me.
We’ll put it off now, We’ll put it off now.
I am ready to stand for the things that I have done. (It seems so clear)
For all the things that I have thrown away, I am standing right here.
I know I’ll suffer, exposed and alone.
And it’s true that the way back up hurts so much more than sitting on a crippled wicker thrown.
We’ll put it off now, We’ll put it off now.
I am ready to stand for the things that I have done. (It seems so clear)
For all the things that I have thrown away, I am standing right here.
You cling to promises. You say it’s temporary. You claim you’re ordinary. You cling to promises but we both know the truth.
I am ready to stand for the things that I have done. (It seems so clear)
For all the things that I have thrown away, I am standing right here.”

YES!! I am so happy right now!! Sounds like old school Saosin when Green was vocalist which is an amazing nostalgic sound, I’m totally looking foward to this new album with Tilian as vocalist. Tilian brings up that fantasy feeling with his voice the same way Green did, with Cove the band was very good n’ i enjoyed every song that Cove worked with the band, it just wasn’t Saosin to me (similar to what happened with DGD after Craig left, Kurt was a good replacement but it just wasn’t DGD) My best of hope n’ luck to Saosin’s new groove!! YEAH!!

I cant wait to hear him sing Seven Years. His voice is much closer to Anthony Green’s than Cove’s.
