MEB Exclusive: Tilian Pearson (Saosin, ex-Tides Of Man) Solo Demo

After recording two albums with Tides Of Man, filing in for Jonny Craig with Emarosa and his upcoming album with Saosin, it’s safe to say that the love for vocalist Tilian Pearson is well spread.
We’ve got a special treat for you today. Below you’ll find a stream of a new Tilian demo, entitled “Favor The Gods.” You may recognize the track from his first iPhone Session. Recorded in his apartment, this demo is the first of a bunch of tracks Tilian has authored over the years. Pearson will be going into the studio November 1 to record a full-length record of these tracks, described as “a variety of genres including rock, pop, electro, indie-rock, post-hardcore, post-rock, post-core-core-post-xxxcore-crunkfeast-boat-captain-sea-urchin” by the man himself.
The stream is below. Enjoy.

I really like this. My favorite of the two demos. Chorus is strong like wut.

Neil McCormick says:
impressive. but it’s too lax. too long & drawn out. and it’s funny… tides of man was too jumbled and too abstract. but the saosin tracks are the most promising thing I’ve heard from the singer. T won’t survive on his own. he’s a voice… not a one-man-band.

I can definitely see the “boat-captain-sea-urchin” in this.
