You are indeed entitled to your opinions, as am I, so let me pass these words on respectfully...
It is imperative (I cannot emphasize that enough) that you see a live performance of Black Taxi playing the album 'We Don't Know Any Better' for their fans. The live show experience is unparalleled with any other band I've seen playing in New York- and note, that on average I attend 80 shows/concerts a year covering all music genres. I believe your mind would be changed instantly.
As for the album, the only similarities it has with The Black Keys or Modest Mouse is that which is pushed upon them by bloggers not in the know. As a person that's followed them closely, for many years now, I can say with great pleasure that Black Taxi have grown exponentially with this album. Some songs hook you from the moment the first note is played, while others have to be listened to repeatedly to sink in. Lyrically diverse in every way, and while some stories are more personal than others, the songs resonate with the fans that listen adoringly, dance hard, and know that real originality comes from within... While many aspire to be like somebody else's band, Black Taxi strive to be themselves and the album is proof of what they're capable of achieving.
Best, a.

I completely agree. I am happy to see her album fell flat and hope to see her fall from fame come as quickly as her rise.

What a bizarre list. Shoegaze a sub-genre of dream pop? The pains? pat, this doesn't make sense, it's revisionist music history nonsense.

I agree Ronnie was being childish about the whole fiasco but when he was in Escape the fate he made the best album and Falling in reverse is refreshing compared to most "post hardcore" crap out there ..This shouldnt represent the album though this song... I really think he's trying not to sound like escape the fate and vice versa with craig Mabbit (craig is not trying to sound like Ronnie).. i only see great things in the future for this band ...well hopefully... I said the same thing when I heard "dying is your latest fashion" HAHAHA
