Protest The Hero have been at the forefront of the metal community for the past 10 years. Since they changed their name from Happy Go Lucky in 2004, the band has release 3 spectacular albums. In 2005 they released their first album, Kezia, right out of highschool. 3 years later the group released their Magnum Opus, Fortress, which topped the Canadian Album Chart at number one. Just last month, we were blessed with their 3rd album, Scurrilous.
Protest The Hero have been defining the metal scene since Kezia kicked everyone in the face 7 years ago. Rody Walkers signature vocals have been the subject of constant debate regarding the band. In a scene over saturated with cookie-monster vocals, Walkers voice is unique and exciting. Guitarist Tim Miller and Luke Hoskin’s impeccable guitar-work is relentless and exciting. Combined with Moe Carlson’s epileptic drumming and Arif Mirabdolbaghi’s dancing bass, the 5-piece create some of the strongest music in the scene today.
