Casey Lee, of the band Fake Problems, has released a solo EP called Comroms. He said, describing the EP, that the songs contained within it were never intended to be released or to sound cohesive. To Casey, this was simply a collection of recordings that he had made in his and his brother’s homes, that he now felt it was appropriate to share.
The download contains a piece of artwork for each song. The songs themselves are somewhat different to the Fake Problems approach of using every instrument available to them to create grand productions. These songs by comparison are stripped bare, and only a few of them include anything other than a single vocal and an acoustic guitar. Casey’s voice is charming, he comes across like Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes singing acoustic folk songs.
If you want to hear a different side to Casey’s songwriting, I’d recommend you grab this while you still can. You can download the whole EP by going: right here.
