Culture Abuse’s Bay Dream Record Release at Rough Trade Records: PHOTOS
Thursday night Culture Abuse celebrated the release of their Sophomore LP, Bay Dream, with help from friends in Glitterer, Antagonize, and Surfbort.
The show was off to a slow start, with over an hour of doors, but Glitterer and Antagonize kicked off the show with a bang. With members of Title Fight and Bane respectively, the two bands had the crowd moving right from the start.
Surfbort kept the show alive and moving, and as 11pm rolled around Culture Abuse prepared to take the stage. Bay Dream is beautifully melancholic without losing the lighthearted and carefree sensibilities that make the band so lovable. The songs from the new record, mixed in with some older fan favorites, translated spectacularly live. Brooklyn’s Rough Trade Records has never had so much fun — check out the gallery above to see what it was like.
