Homegrown band Hembree returned to Kansas City on Thursday, Oct. 24, celebrating their debut full-length album, House on Fire. Supported by the Los Angeles based Mating Ritual, the recordBar was packed with welcoming fans. The album was recently named “Best New Local Album” by The Pitch KC.
Mating Ritual, comprised of brothers Ryan and Taylor Lawhon, released their debut album Hot Content this past spring. Songs like “U.N.I” and “I Wear Glasses” energized the audience through synth sounds and Ryan’s dance moves.
Hembree will join the Get Up Kids on the second half of their tour this winter.
