John Q of the Florida-based hip-hop group All My Homies recently did an exclusive interview with Mind Equals Blown. The 25-year-old artist spoke about his controversial lyrics on the song “Negative” where he raps about “dark skin discrimination” and racism in America.
“The Seasons Change” rapper expressed his dislike for the “Team Light Skin vs Dark Skin” internet craze and addressed it by simply stating, “We’re all black.” Although Q dislikes people discriminating based on skin tone, he doesn’t appreciate people ignoring color overall.
