The Scoop: Cape Town pop-rock outfit aKing have released a music video for “Man Unkind”
The Spin: The song comes off their fourth studio album Morning After which released on iTunes today and can be bought here, with physical copies being released on 15 September. The album marks aKing’s triumphant return to the South African music with the same brooding energy that South African’s fell in-love when they released their debut album Dutch Courage.
The guitar riffs on “Man Unkind” twist themselves around the rhythmic drumming of Jaco “Snakehead” Venter while lead singer Laudo Liebenberg’s vocals comes soaring through the haze of brooding pop-rock riffs. The vocal harmonies between Liebenberg and Andrew Davenport are enough to melt your heart.
