The Scoop: After weeks of cryptic hints, So-Cal metalcore heavyweights Atreyu have confirmed via social media that their three-year hiatus is officially over and they are back in action. The band’s message, which you can also see on their Facebook, reads as follows:
“Atreyu is pleased to announce we are making new music together and have plans to resume playing live again, starting with our main stage appearance at Aftershock on Sunday September 14th, 2014.
This is for the fans, this is for us, and this is for the music.
LONG LIVE ATREYU”
The Spin: Fans will no doubt be most excited by the “making new music together” part of the message, having not had any music to feast on since 2010’s Covers of the Damned EP. Stay tuned to MEB and we will bring you any further updates on Atreyu’s reunion as we hear them.
