The Scoop: According to an Instagram post from Blink-182 singer and guitarist Tom DeLonge Wednesday, the band is recording new material. The photo shows the inside of DeLonge’s recording studio. You can read his statement below.

The Spin: While the photo came directly from DeLonge’s Instagram account, it does not disclose a definitive release date for Blink-182’s next album. In an October 2012 interview with CBS Local, singer and bassist Mark Hoppus said the band is aiming to release a new record by the end of 2013. While the band released its Dogs Eating Dogs EP in December 2012, fans are sure to be eagerly awaiting the band’s next full-length release.
