The Spin: In case you have yet to hear of the band, you can check out a little background information as to what the boys in CWR have been up to lately below.
Civil War Rust recently finished tracking six songs with Willie Samuels at Nu-Tone Studios and Studio Trilogy. Willie also recorded/produced the band’s 2012 full-length The Fun & The Lonely, which you can purchase/stream here.
Guitarist Ryan Banks comments on the new tracks:
“We’ve been playing all the songs live over the last year and we are very excited to hear how they sound after mixing. Once we get them back we’ll figure out how we plan to release them, and we will let you know when to expect to hear some new jams!”
The six recorded songs consists of five electric tracks and one acoustic. “Really pumped on releasing an acoustic song, always love the simple raw feel that brings. Of course we all can’t wait to get back in and record that song electric and see how that sounds as well!” says Banks.
Civil War Rust is also currently recording songs for an upcoming split to be released on La Escalera Records later this year.
