FreeMusicFirst.org, the brainchild of Thomas Nassiff and Vinnie Fiorello of Paper + Plastick Records and Exit 384 Media, is releasing full-lengths from its second batch of bands.
The website, which was launched last month, features music hand-selected by “guest DJs,” with this batch coming from Fiorello himself. The idea is to create a place where listeners can not only stream, but also download, music from bands they might not know that are backed by familiar faces.
In this second batch, the featured artists include Divided Heaven and No More. Divided Heaven is the solo project of Jeff Berman, who performs punk songs, “rooted in history and politics, travel and experience, love and hope,” all on acoustic guitar. His first full-length, A Rival City, is available on FreeMusicFirst.org. No More is more electric and driven by “punk/indie/ska and radical females.” The band’s album, Though Crimes, is available for download now, once again, for free.
So, if you like free music and a place to find great new bands endorsed by artists you know, visit FreeMusicFirst.org now.
