The Scoop: Raised in a sleepy Illinois farm town, Vinnie Hines always dreamed of traveling the world with a six string on his back. After a few obligatory years at a community college he set off to St. Louis, MO to play music full time. Two short years later, he became a full time salaried soloist for Carnival Cruise Lines. Inspired by this the people he’s met along this journey, he’s pieced together an catalog of soulful, danceable acoustic songs. The Spin: Sometimes you just can’t settle down with one genre. Fusing together the sounds of soul, r&b, blues, and rock comes Illinois native, Vinnie Hines with his latest single, “The Riddle”. Debuting on Feb 4, the track has already garnered comparisons to the likes of Jason Mraz, Maroon 5, and Bruno Mars with its soaring vocals and undeniably catchy chorus. With the release of “The Riddle”, Hines has set the bar high for 2014, with the promise of a March music video release, along with a summer tour currently in the works.
“Whether I’m living in a box or a mansion, I will be creating music for the masses until my last breath. It’s all I’ve ever truly wanted, and I sincerely desire that my music brings you happiness, and that it might inspire or help you in some way,” shares Hines. When not writing and recording music under his own name, Hines is a full time salaried soloist for Carnival Cruise Lines.
