Paramore has finally announced some form of solidity in regards to their highly anticipated 4th studio album – well Hayley Williams did, I mean.
Since the extremely public departure of the Farro brothers (Zac Farro – drums, Josh Farro– guitar), the band has been remarkably quiet; or at least quiet in comparison to Paramore over the previous four years (2005-2009). To quote Williams’ recent blog-post on paramore.net, she admits “The other day I was looking at my calendar from last year (which was, admittedly, a lot less full than I had hoped it would be…)” The lack of the spotlight is definitely something the band is not too familiar with, and as a long-time fan, I can tell you that us listeners feel the exact same way about the absence. So, queue the music and let’s get this show on the road!
Hayley Williams made the announcement on April 18th, stating that they finally have a producer (Justin Meldal-Johnsen) for the upcoming record and they also have recorded a track (“Daydreaming”) which will be on the record – fingers crossed. Williams goes on to say that there are no promises being made as far as a timetable for the record. They have never taken so long to get to work on a project, so they are taking it in stride, so to speak. It would appear as though Paramore is taking a subtle approach to recording this album. In the past, it was always front page news when they were in the studio. Take it for
what it may be is what I say; whether the album will be the best thing to grace our ears, or a complete failure is yet to be determined. Nevertheless, I am enormously thrilled to hear the news and am eagerly awaiting the product.
While I am unable to fill you in on any deeper details at this time, I can promise you that this posting means much more is coming. Stay attentive in the latter portion of 2012, as I am sure the trio will be working hard to get this thing released. For the love of their fans!
