It was a dark and stormy night. The room was empty. But not for long, because when Reckless Serenade hit the stage, every person at The Outpost ran into the room to dance. Cory Brent (Vocals), Mark Neidhardt (Guitar) Matt Ruggiero (Drums), Rob Crews (guitar), and Bryan Witt (Bass) filled the room to capacity before the first song ended, with their signature straight-from-the-heart sound.
Reckless Serenade hits the nail on the head with lyrics that describe everything fans can relate to. “Pretty Monster” was an instant hit, and Brent relinquished the microphone so the fans could sing. Even though they returned the mic to Brent after the song, the entire room sang along with band for the rest of the show. The storm clouds outside were no match for crowd, as the floors shook from jumping and dancing throughout the night.
The set moved through emotions like a symphony of life events. Classify Reckless Serenade any way you want, but Brent can scream with the best. His powerful delivery is unmatched by the timeless words he croons. Incorporating elements from all genres of music, Reckless Serenade delighted the audience with tunes from Out Here, released in September this year. Each song has a unique flavor, highlighting the depth and growth of the New York rockers. The progression of Reckless Serenade from Chasing Lights to Out Here is astounding and leads me to the conclusion that this group of artists is limitless. Keep them on your playlist, because I can guarantee there is more to come!
