I am a student attending The University of Florida. I spend a majority of my time listening and discovering new music. This prompted me to start the original Mind Equals Blown, in an attempt to share the amazing bands I continue to discover. I enjoy most genre’s of music, but lean on the heavier side of things the majority of the time. I enjoy bands than have mastered the guitar, and always love a good breakdown. When not doing music related things I enjoy losing to 12 year olds at Halo 3 and watching the Florida Gators win. I am also an expert (plastic) guitar player.

I’m an 18 year old female from Boston, MA with enough hipster cred to outshine Christofer Drew. AP stylebook rules excite me. I can recognize fonts on spot. My first love was punk music which later progressed into ska and then took a strange turn towards hardcore/grindcore. My biggest passion right now is hip hop, as I am a huge fan of lyricism. If you can mold the English language like clay and produce something beautiful, we’d get along smoothly.

Well I’m Alek Wiltbank, an 18 year old from Utah. I love music, though I’m definitely not one of those people that likes all types of music. I’m fairly particular in that I like my music to stand out, I like it to be unique and different from other things so I know the artist right away. That being said, I tend to dabble in math rock a lot as well as experimental progressive. I’m also a vinyl fanatic with my collection hitting about 35 records so far but it’s an addiction so I can’t say how long it’ll stay that low.

I’m a high school student in rural MA. I love playing music, particularly if it entails performing on a stage. I play guitar in a band called Expecto Patronum!, and I’m quite sure that if I got into a band with a serious name, I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. I have little athletic ability. Writing is fun for me, especially when nice people encourage me to do it about music

I’m currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh, where I spend a lot of time criticizing and hating on other people’s music. I know what I like, and it’s generally heavy, or trap rap that makes me laugh. Most people will say that they enjoy all kinds of music, but that is certainly not me. Shows at small, rundown venues with wooden dance floors cannot be topped. Other than music, hockey has always been the love of my life.

Poor college student at Hope International University that loves taking photos. I’m that guy you see that always has a smile on his face and is high fiving everybody, sorry if that annoys you. I love meeting new people and spreading the stoke around. Music is my life and without it, I would be lost for good. Anything from country (I know) to 80′s hair metal, post hardcore to Chamber Choir’s, I need music. I also like to type in short, telegram style sentences. That is all.
