Never Been To Warped Tour? Change That.

By Ambre · On August 5, 2014

Vans Warped Tour 2014

For years I’ve been waiting to go to Warped Tour, but sadly the timing has never been right. However, this year the game changed. Being a new photographer here at Mind Equals Blown I was given the opportunity to not only go to Warped Tour, but to go with a press pass – two really incredible things.

Never been to Warped Tour? Not sure if it’s for you? Well, if you’re interested in a day filled with not just one, but multiple bands you love playing as well as thousands of incredible people who also love those bands for a moderately cheaply priced ticket, there’s no question: go to Warped Tour. It’s summer and it’s hot and by the end of the day you’ll feel like you need to take multiple showers, but it is in every way worth it (this coming from a girl who went alone all day). I was able to see twelve bands, and I feel like there’s no other music event I would attend where I would be able to see twelve bands in one place that I genuinely wanted to see. Also, Warped Tour had not been held in Nashville in seven years so by it coming back to this city it drew out many people that had also never been because it simply did not come close enough to Middle Tennessee. This was great because I was surrounded by thousands of people who had also never been and were simply winging it just as I was. Also, if you’re worried about not knowing the schedule until you’re inside the venue, so was I. I even rebelled a little and didn’t buy one (I took a photo on my phone of someone else’s) and just hoped that my phone didn’t die throughout the day. As long as you look at it and know what bands you’re looking for it’s relatively easy to decide where you want to be and when. Overall, all of my fears of being at Warped Tour turned out to be no trouble at all.

So if you’ve never been and you want to spend an incredible day with your friends (or alone,) and see lots of your favorite bands in one place, Warped Tour is definitely the place to go.
