Mirror Eyes is an emerging Nashville-based alternative rock/pop quintet whose members have shared the stage with bands like New Found Glory and Circa Survive. Recently signed to InVogue Records last fall, Mirror Eyes are for fans of Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance, and Saosin.
Although there has not been a release date for their debut full-length announced yet, Solace is tentatively out sometime in early 2017. Unlike before, Mirror Eyes is taking much more time in the process of releasing Solace, having had some songs for this release written for almost six months. Singer Jessica Coppens explains that, as a result, this full length is going to be distinctively different from their previous EP, Reality. The release intends to be “a lot more mature” than their earlier stuff, especially since it took only three days to record Reality.
According to Coppens, “the Reality EP came out of one person’s head” and the main writer was drummer Emily Prathers. In addition, Coppens further emphasized that this upcoming release is going to be different because “it’s coming from so many different people.” As opposed to just having one member in the band primarily write the music like for the EP, Solace has the influences of every member in Mirror Eyes, in addition to a collaboration with Ace Enders of The Early November.
