The Chainsmokers Take Kansas City

By Katie Rich @richlkatie · On May 23, 2017

On May 17, The Chainsmokers took Kansas City on a whirlwind of a trip with special guest Kiiara. The Chainsmokers left a memorable mark on the city, as they played to a large crowd at the Sprint Center, the biggest venue in town. The duo’s gigantic tour sheds light on the rave scene and allows people to experience something that generally a much smaller group of people lives for. It gives concertgoers a chance to learn more about the genre from arguably one of the biggest EDM groups in the industry.
The Memories Do Not Open Tour provides a dance party to thousands of people, with top-notch lighting and stage production, as well as an incredible amount of audience participation. Although their breakthrough was fairly recent, the duo shows that they have a lot to offer to the EDM scene and beyond in the coming years.
