Kansas City’s fourth annual Rock the Red Kettle brought concertgoers to watch New Politics, The Mowgli’s, and Plain White T’s while raising money for the Salvation Army in the Power and Light District. The free show signaled the kick-off of the Salvation Army’s Christmas fundraising and has raised more than $30,000.
Denmark’s New Politics set the tone for the free show with their upbeat songs and break-dancing. Proving to be a tough act to follow, The Mowgli’s –a band near and dear to Kansas City’s heart– didn’t stop the dance party as they played through old and new crowd favorites like “Kansas City”, “I’m Good”, and “San Francisco.” Rounding out the night was a trip down memory lane with the Plain White T’s. The crowd eagerly waited for “Hey There Delilah”, which sent everyone back to 2004.
Check out these bands on the remainder of The 3 Dimensional Tour.
