The Scoop: This is the low-down. BEAST is gearing up to record their second album but need your help to fund the recording of the album. They also only have 11 days to get the money together.
The Spin: BEAST released their debut album, Smoke Swig Swear, as a free download early 2013 (www.bit.ly/1hi2DbV). Since its release, they’ve played unforgettable shows all over South Africa and have now written enough material for another album.
The band activated a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo and they are calling on the support of their fans to make a sophomore album a reality.
Inge Beckmann, Louis Nel and Rian Zietsman are using Indiegogo to raise $8,000 (approx. R89 438.80) in 60 days and there are only 11 daysleft to make it happen.
The proper funding will allow the band to record with the brilliant Brendyn ‘Rusti’ Rossouw at his studio, Heritage Sound during October 2014. It will also allow them to have it professionally mixed and mastered, and have some kick-ass artwork designed for the album.
If you want to help then head here. There are several options to chose from and they range from receiving the album before anybody else to the band performing a private show for you and your friends.
The Question: Are you going to help crowd-fund the album, and why? Let us know in the comments below!
