The Scoop: A few days ago at the Vans Warped Tour’s stop in West Palm Beach a severe thunderstorm hit the venue, which caused damage to the Monster Energy Stage, the shutdown of the Acoustic Basement, and Brian Marquis to get electrocuted via lightning strike and sent to the hospital. In light of his potentially traumatic experience, Brian has announced via his Facebook page that he has decided to drop off the remaining five dates of the tour in order to make a full recovery at home. You can check out what he had to say below.
It breaks my heart to leave this tour, my family, but in the best interest of my health I am heading home tomorrow to take care of myself and get some proper rest. Thanks to everyone who has shown their support and love to me, it is truly heartwarming. No goodbyes just see you down the dusty trail. One love. -Brian
The Spin: Warped Tour is an excruciatingly exhausting and physically draining experience for those at full health, let alone someone who just a had a run in a lightning bolt. We hear at MEB send our thoughts and prayers to Brian for a full recovery and all the best in the future.
