The Scoop: As promised, G-Unit releases a new song titled “They Talked About Jesus”, making this the fourth record they’ve dropped in the past 10 days.
The Spin: We can be expecting more music from the Unit as a group now that their reunion is in full effect. This song features Young Buck and Lloyd Banks sharing the chorus, spitting their own verses and Tony Yayo closing the song. This is the first record they’ve released since their shocking return that doesn’t include G-Unit general 50 Cent nor the newest addition to the group, Kidd Kidd. Perhaps it was to emphasize the other members and give the fans a more classic feel. The beat is produced by George Getson and samples “After Laughter (Comes Tears)” by Wendy Rene. The same sample from Wu-Tang Clan‘s “Tearz” from the 1993 classic Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
