The Scoop: Randy Blythe, vocalist for heavy metal outfit Lamb of God, has announced that he has officially signed a North American book deal with Da Capo Press and will be releasing a memoir documenting his time on trial for manslaughter in the Czech Republic. While the book has yet to be given a definite release date, it is planned to hit shelves sometime in the Spring of 2014. You can check out what Blythe had to say about the forthcoming release below.
While I’ve dreamed of being a published author almost since I began to read, I never imagined my first book would center around such a sad topic. Sometimes though, life unexpectedly provides you a story that needs to be told. I believe this one does (for several different reasons, not just for the benefit of myself), so I will tell it with the respect and dignity all involved deserve. This will be a good read, I promise you, and I hope some good comes of it.
The Spin: This is going to be a must read not only for any fan of the band, but for those who followed the trial as well. It’s a no-hold-back tale of what truly happened and the events that took place throughout the course of the whole debacle. Stay tuned to MEB as well will be bringing you more details on the book as soon as we receive word.
