The Scoop: Pop rock outfit Metro Station has announced that despite raising only $8,105 out of the $50,000 they were asking for in their IndieGoGo campaign, the band will still be releasing a brand new EP titled Middle of the Night on August 20th. You can check out a live performance of the first single off the EP titled “Every Time I Touch You” below.
The Spin: Metro Station burst onto the scene in 2007 with their self-titled debut full length album, which had everyone and their mother singing along to the now 2x Platinum hit single “Shake It.” Then, once the album ran it’s course, MS fell off the face of the Earth. Apparently, however, they’re back. But there’s still plenty of questions that have been left unanswered. Mainly what the $8,105 that was made from the campaign is going to be used for and if the perks will ever be claimed from the band. Make sure to keep in tuned with MEB as we continue to follow the developing story.
The Question: Did you donate to the campaign? Despite all the questions, are you still excited to hear new material from the band? Let us know in the comments below!
