The Scoop: Roger Goode to headline the Pretoria EDM Arena at Freedom Festival.

The Spin: The announcement that Freedom Festival shall be replacing the fifth international band with an EDM stage was met with a considerable amount of anger. Nevertheless, Freedom Festival has calmed the raging anger by introducing a brilliant EDM line-up.

The festival already boasts a tremendous line-up of rock acts with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Skillet, The Airborne Toxic Event, and The Curious Incident headlining the main stage. These bands are supported by ten of South Africa’s finest musical acts.

Two international DJs have been announced to headline the stage. Lush & Simon and Mischa Adams shall be bringing their own partciular brands of electronic music to the shores of South Africa. They shall be joined by a stellar local line-up with Paul Bingham, and Mark Stent being the first names announced.

However, this news pales in comparison with the latest addition to the line-up; Roger Goode. He has been rated as one of South Africa’s most eccentric radio DJs, and currently hosts 5FM’s drive time radio show. Not only does he hold this prestige, but he is also signed to Pete Tong’s London Records and is world-renowned for his ability to create brilliant EDM trcks.

Goode shall be headlining  the Pretoria leg of Freedom Festival, and shall be supported by some of South Africa’s heavyweight EDM talent. With Paul Bingham, Mark Stent, PH Phat, Royal K, Veranda Panda, Kyle Watson, DJ Lloy,d Metro Ticket and a host of international headliners joining Goode to spin the decks at the Freedom Festival Arena – it promises to be one amazing show.

Mind Equals Blown is giving you the chance to win one of two double passes to both the Pretoria and Cape Town legs of the festival.
