The Spin: This is the Bompton rapper’s second 2014 release since his debut album My Krazy Life dropped in March. YG solidified himself as a prime artist in the new west movement in hip-hop. His style is compared to the early 90s, Dr. Dre and Snoop Doggy Dogg era with a millennium touch. Before its official release, the film will be screened in Los Angeles, New York City and Atlanta.
It will be very interesting to see how the Pusha Ink rapper performs on the big screen and how far he plans to bring back the old-West West era of rap. From the looks of the artwork, it looks very Menace II Society, Boyz-N-da-Hood-esque. I like.
