On March 1st, A$AP Ferg brought The Man Tour to Silver Spring, MD with support from IDK and Denzel Curry. The show was the second night of the month and a half long tour across the USA.
The show was opened by Maryland native, IDK, much to the enjoyment of the crowd. Many of his friends and family were at the show going wild watching him perform and his set really created hype for the next two performers.
From the second Denzel Curry came onto the stage, he was going absolutely wild. His energy was felt by the crowd and was contagious as everyone jumped and sang along to all the songs on his setlist. In the middle of his set, he started playing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana and climbed into the crowd singing every word and holding the mic up to people in the crowd. Upon playing his most popular song “Ultimate”, Curry held nunchucks as he (and the entire room) rapped the iconic opening lines. As he finished his set, Curry dived into the crowd and crowd-surfed for an entire song, moving from one side of the crowd to the other.
The stage setup for A$AP Ferg was simple and clean with a completely white floor and a screen of tiny LED’s in the back. The setup was meant to max Ferg’s outfit for the set which was a completely white outfit from his shoes to his jacket with the only color coming from the chains around his neck. Ferg opened with “Trap and a Dream”, the opening track on his 2017 album Striving. Ferg’s entire set was incredible, playing old and new songs, closing the night with his most popular track “Plain Jane”.
