The popular Christian festival tour Winter Jam returned to Tampa’s well known Amalie Arena, and we were there to cover it. This year’s lineup featured Crowder, RED, Building 429, Andy Mineo, and several other notable names in Christian music. The arena was packed from front to back as fans worshipped throughout the venue, singing and dancing along to every song. The tour does a fantastic job connecting fans and music by allowing entry even if fans show up with no money to spare (the tour only asks for a $15 donation at the door).
The festival first originated in 1995 by the band NewSong, and has hosted several popular Christian artists over the years such as Skillet, Newsboys, and Hillsong UNITED, while increasing the fame for artists such as For King & Country and Francesca Battistelli. See the rest of the 2020 tour dates here.
