Interested in writing for MindEqualsBlown?
I get CDs weeks before they’re released. Interviews with my musical idols. Free tickets to major concerts.
Why? I write.
If you are interested in joining the MindEqualsBlown staff, there is nothing stopping you.
We have positions available in: Writing, Reporting, Editing, Photography, Image Design, Web Design, and Business Management, just to name a few. Even if you don’t see yourself fitting into one of the aforementioned roles, feel free to ask how you can help.
Age is just a number. If anything, we encourage high school and college writers to apply. Young journalists need to build their resumes early and often, and MindEqualsBlown.net prides itself on helping those up-and-comers with opportunities while providing the chance to be published.
Those interested in applying should email the following information to Lauren@MindEqualsBlown.net:
A. Basic information about you (Name, age, location, school, major, and any pertinent background info. Please include a link to your Facebook account and/or Twitter).
B. Music interests (Favorite bands, songs you’re listening to, etc. Just enough so we can get a feel for your tastes)
C. Two or more writing samples (PDF, Word Documents acceptable). If you don’t have anything, still send in an application and we can find a solution.
The most important trait you can own is effort, so don’t let a lack of confidence keep you from submitting an application.
We look forward to hearing from you.

No, you do not have to be in college or work with any company. As long as you’re willing to work/learn than you’re all good!

If any are on the fence about sending in an application, I implore you to do so. I am a product of this, and it is the smartest thing I have ever done.
