Taking Back Sunday in New York, NY

By Jessica Tyler · On July 17, 2017

Confetti rained over the crowd as Taking Back Sunday ran onto the stage, the crowd pushing forward in effort to get as close as possible to the emo veterans as they kicked off their set at the Grand Ballroom at Webster Hall on July 14h, 2017. With a diverse lineup consisting of alternative emo newcomers Modern Chemistry and metalcore veterans Every Time I Die, the crowd remained energetic and engaged throughout the show.

Touring on their latest release, 2016’s Tidal Wave released on Hopeless Records, Taking Back Sunday pleased older and young fans alike, playing songs from their most recent releases as well as from their first studio albums released over 10 years ago. The New York natives lit up the room, the passionate crowd dancing and screaming along all night long. The night was one full of energy, excitement, and at moments, nostalgia, and was a brilliant kick-off to Taking Back Sunday’s month-long tour about to take the country by storm.
